- Okay here's a a strange one. I just got the Cybervison64 graphics card.
- I put it in, installed the software. Now Emplant complains that there is
- no Emplant board in the computer. It said to run the test program, well
- the program also says there is no board. But when I take out the graphics
- card, Emplant workes fine. I have noticed that the Amiga does not reset on
- startup as it always did when I got the Emplant. I think RsrvMem does
- this. But when I took this comment out of the startup sequence, Emplant
- still ran the setup program (CV64 out). So Emplant knew it's board was in
- the computer. I checked the seating of the cards, they are all in tight.
-
- Now here is a second problem that may or may not be related to the
- first. I have a Sony GVM-1311Q monitor. It does 15KHz-36KHz, but it has a
- VGA style connector with non-standard pin outs for VGA. I made a
- M9pin-F9pin Sony to VGA adapter. It works with a SVGA graphics card, so I
- know my pin out is right. Is the Cybervison changing the 15pin outs when
- it passes the signal through it? Should I get a 15pin to 9pin adaptor
- from the store? I do have a 15pin to 9pin adaptor cable, but this one is
- from the Vortex Monitor Master kit. So it may be non-standard too..
-
- So as you can see (or not see) that I have not even gotten to see the
- Cybervison pass video. I currently have the board pulled out. Tell I can
- figure this out more. Could it be that the Cybervison was requesting a
- screen setting for the Emplant setup screen? In that, I never set it up.
- So that Emplant does not run because it has no output screen? It just
- seems odd that Emplant would complain that there is no board in. I would
- think that it would be something else, more hardware related.
-
- I have a A4000 040 with 8MB, CPU board 3.1 (I think.), Buster 9 (Uhg, I
- did set the jumper on the board for Buster 9 and below.), and finally I
- have a Emplant board. I have a few commodeties running. Such as,
- BlitzBlank, Pointer, MFR, and Yak. I appreciate any help someone can give
- me.
